By accessing or using the SubDoms website (subdoms.com) and its associated services, tools, and APIs (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SubDoms. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
SubDoms provides a web-based platform for subdomain discovery, DNS enumeration, subdomain monitoring, and related security intelligence services. The Service includes a free tier with limited functionality and paid subscription plans with additional features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
3. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Use the Service to scan domains without proper authorization from the domain owner, except when using passive reconnaissance features that only query publicly available data sources
- Use the Service to facilitate or participate in any illegal activity, including unauthorized access to computer systems
- Attempt to overwhelm target DNS infrastructure with excessive queries through our platform
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or intimidate any individual or organization
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
- Resell, redistribute, or provide access to the Service to third parties without our written consent
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service outside of our documented API
- Circumvent any rate limiting, access controls, or security measures implemented by the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this Acceptable Use Policy.
4. User Accounts
Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep your account information up to date.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by SubDoms and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service or its content without our prior written consent. Scan results generated by the Service are provided for your use and you retain ownership of any reports you generate from your own scan data.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY SCAN RESULTS, DATA, OR CONTENT PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUBDOMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SubDoms, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party. This includes any claims arising from your use of the Service to scan domains or systems without proper authorization.
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@subdoms.com.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SubDoms operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the applicable arbitration association, unless you are entitled to bring claims in small claims court.
