Independent educational site
SubDoms (subdoms.com) publishes free guides about subdomains, DNS records, SSL certificates and related web-infrastructure topics. It is an independent site. It is not a domain registrar, DNS hosting provider, certificate authority or security consultancy, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of the companies or projects mentioned on its pages (for example Cloudflare, Namecheap, Let's Encrypt, Google or AWS). Product and company names belong to their owners.
Information only
Guides and examples are general information. DNS providers, hosting platforms and web servers differ, and their interfaces change over time. Always check your provider's own documentation, and test changes on a non-production domain or subdomain first. We are not responsible for downtime, email delivery problems or security issues that result from changes you make.
Browser-based tools
The lookup tools on this site run in your browser and query public services such as Google Public DNS (dns.google) and RDAP. Results are only as accurate as those services and may be cached. The tools are provided "as is", without warranty, and are not a substitute for a professional security assessment.
Responsible use
Only test domains you own or are explicitly authorised to assess. Looking up public DNS records is normally harmless, but probing systems you do not own may break the law or a provider's terms of service where you live.
External links and advertising
We link to third-party sites for convenience and do not control their content. This site may show ads served by Google AdSense; ads are not endorsements.
